A few members of the Ventura local joined YPSL members and other students at Moorpark College Monday the 25th of August on a silent march for Michael Brown. These students joined students across the nation to bring awareness to the fact that it was Mike Brown's funeral and would have been his first day of college had he lived.

Passersby took pictures, said thank you, asked who Michael Brown was, and some made the argument that the officer who shot Mike was in the right. There was not enough talk about this being an incident indicative of deep system problems and class conflict, but it was a good learning experience.
