On Friday, September 25th, members of Socialist Party Los Angeles Local joined friends, both longtime and new, at Stories Books and Cafe on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, to participate in a workshop about the power of creative writing to combat behaviors instilled in us by a patriarchal, racist, ableist, ageist, and capitalist system. Facilitated by the L.A. Local's Jen McClellan, he workshop included writing sessions where participants were able to contribute original poetry to the discussion
 
 
The Indianapolis Socialist Party-USA attended a protest against the newlyreleased Stonewall film for its white-washing and bastardization of LGBTQ+ history to fit into a oppressive narrative.

The protest was organized individually by Indy local chairwoman Audrey Bee where chants where given, members of the local LGBTQ+ community spoke, a sign of Stonewall veteran Marsha P. Johnson was hoisted up and a list of historically indispensable transwomen of color was read off in order to spread awareness regarding the true activist behind the LGBT rights movement.
 
 
Socialist Party Locals joined Labor Day actions and marches on Labor Day weekend. Literature distributed and contacts were made as we supported organized labor and all workers on the holiday weekend.
