Socialist Party members joined the protests outside the DNC in Philadelphia, taking part in the "March for a Clean Energy Revolution" (July 24) and the March for Our Lives (July 25). Members from New Jersey, Massachusetts and Philadelphia joined the contingent.
The Northern NJ Local, with the support of Central NJ comrades, joined the Montclair 4th of July parade for the 4th consecutive year. Members distributed literature and petitioned for the Soltysik/Walker campaign. The Northern NJ Local hosted a SEC/post march bbq at the home of Andrea & Greg Pason after the march.
The Central New Jersey Socialist Party endorsed and attended the NJ People's Summit on July 2nd in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Local members, joined by organizers for the Green Party of New Jersey (GPNJ) and 15 Now NJ, attended various workshops and presented a Left vision for a working class movement independent of the Democratic Party. CNJSP chair Pat Noble co-convened two workshops with GPNJ chair Julie Saporito on Politics Beyond the Two-Party System.
