The Socialist Party of New Jersey held its Summer 2013 Skill Share on Sunday July 21st. Topics included diy event planning, prison letter writing, food prep and more.  Members also discussed planning a concert, setting up a lo-fi radio station, the upcoming SPUSA national convention and supporting the Moreno/Gussin slate for Governor.
Members of the Socialist Party of Michigan tabled at the Ann Arbor Art Fair this weekend. The members volunteers staffed the table, spoke with attendees and debated Democrats and Republicans.
from Jen NcClellan Yesterday's meeting was a great success! We read the Feminist Process as it has become tradition, because it rocks our socks off. We heard a local report and got everyone up to speed on what we're doing with the "Wipe Out Student Debt NOW!" Campaign….

I passed around the sample constitution and standing rules I drew up forthe Young People's Socialist League, which is the name we decided on for he socialist club we're starting at Moorpark Community College… The Ventura local's decided to try to meet more often, so we'll aim to get together at Element once every two months. We'll do another event page for the next meeting... Please come out and show your support!

We're going to be doing Revolution Movie Nights (probably at the Moorpark

CC library, but we still need to ask) and planning a bodacious Beach BBQ!

Tons of fun to look forward to!

The Monmouth and Ocean Counties Local held its weekly demonstrartion to protest construction on a heavily polluted site in Neptune, NJ from 10:30am to 11:30am, and then headed over to Eatontown at noon to join the weekly anti-war protest outside of the former Fort Monmouth. The SP local members present were myself, Maynor M, and Dorothy A. I think Maynor gained a few write-in votes from the anti-war folks as well.
The Northern NJ Local, with the support from our comrades from the Monmouth Ocean County Local marched in the Montclair, NJ 4th of July parade. The contingent was led by Socialist Party gubernatorial candidate Maynor Marino and Lt. Governor Candidate Stephanie Gussin. The event was followed by a "Socialist B-B-Q"
