Gabe and Mimi from the Socialist Party Los Angeles Local lent their support to the striking Kaiser mental health clinicians in front of the Kaiser facility in West Los Angeles. According to the National Union of Healthcare Workers, "Kaiser does not staff its psychiatry departments with enough mental health clinicians - psychologists, therapists, social workers, and psychiatric workers - to meet the needs of its patients. Due to this staff shortage, our schedules are booked solid. Patients are forced to wait weeks, even months for treatment. For patients suffering from depression, anxiety, and other debilitating mental conditions, these delays can be insurmountable obstacles.

Northern NJ Local members joined member of NJ Peace Action to kicking off a week of actions to close Guantanamo and end torture.
